Liked: The Spread Eagle & Spa in Midhurst is a charming, historic hotel set in a peaceful location beside a duck pond. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay — the staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The spa, pool, and tranquil garden were a delightful bonus, offering the perfect place to relax. The terrace is ideal for sipping a local G&T in the evening with friends, or for enjoying a leisurely breakfast in the morning sunshine. In the evenings, the hotel glows with candlelight, and the welcoming scent of fresh flowers greets you the moment you walk through the door. A truly special place to stay.
Disliked: Although our room was comfortable, it could do with a refresh. Lots of scuff marks on the walls and and the carpet could do with a clean around the bin (people missing it to put their teabags in there.)

Liked: Great location and breakfast was excellent.
Disliked: We had a late check in and had left our bags earlier and was told they would be in the room. When we returned the bags were still in the office and the room had been left with the windows closed on a very warm day. Our room was on the top floor and took a while to cool down. A bit of attention to detail on customer service might have sorted that issue. Other than that - lovely town and hotel.

Lovely atmosphere in a superb...

Liked: The Cottage countryside atmosphere. The incredible setting, old building preserved in such a great taste so that you almost feel like back in the time. The Spa / Pool area was lovely and we very much enjoyed it. We also very much enjoyed the food at the restaurant of the hotel.
Disliked: The staff was very helpful and friendly. I decided to celebrate my 50th birthday at the restaurant and was just disappointed about the service and lack of attention to our table. We got the starters served before even getting drinks while I would have loved getting some time to make a toast and come into the dinner slowly. Some mix up with the plates and serving. Having said that, I want to reiterate that the overall service and staff were really kind and that the overall experience was great.
