Liked: Loved the pool and spa area (although the Swedish sauna wasn't working) but the pool, jacuzzi and steam room were lovely.
Disliked: It is a very old building so you can hear people going up and down the stairs at night

Disliked: If I had to be picky I wasn’t wowed by the breakfast, the restaurant ran out of brown bread and croissants. Next time I’ll just get up earlier!

Cosy winter destination.

Liked: Beautiful old character inn in Midhurst. Excellent helpful staff in reception, bar and restaurant. Particularly enjoyed the fireplaces and comfy sofas in the lounge bar. Small comfortable room was perfect for me for a one night stay. Did not use the spa as I was busy exploring Midhurst. Enjoyed the food in the restaurant, but when I stay again next year will try and get them to set up a table for me in the lounge bar as it is so much cosier.
Disliked: Was kept awake for a while by what sounded like an extractor fan outside the room.

Liked: The staff were great, very friendly. The breakfast was delicious, with good quality and selection.
Disliked: This was our second visit since 2019. For the price, room facilities are still quite basic and the swimming pool and jacuzzi are tired, the jacuzzi is like sitting in a bath. I remember when the spa first opened many years ago when I was living in Midhurst. I suspect it hasn't changed much since then.Finally, the a la carte menu seems like it hasn't changed since we were last there?? I hope I'm wrong, but it wasn't very inspiring. It's a lovely hotel but a new menu would improve the hotel, I believe, especially as there isn't much choice in town.
