North East Road trip

Liked: Close to travel links.Although we had to wait for evening food (very busy & chef was alone in the kitchen) it was perfectly presented, very reasonably priced & fabulous choice on the menu.The use of the spa and pool at no extra charge was great.Staff were very friendly, with the exception of the miserable chap who booked us in.Breakfast was hot and filling with plenty of choice. The sausages were amazing.The room was a good size, and the beds were very comfortable
Disliked: Out dated furniture in the bedroom.The only chair was badly stained.The shower dripped loudly, and the water pressure for the wash hand basin was very low.The car park was very dusty during the high winds as it was not tarmaced.

Liked: The staff were so friendly and helpful in the hotel, restaurant and even the adjoining pub Hotel has everything you need for a short stayThere was an issue (not with us, the hotel or within the hotels control) whilst we were there but the staff handling the situation showed such professionalism and empathy and were a credit to the hotel
Disliked: It was slightly dated but to be expected with a budget hotel

Brilliant facilities for the price

Liked: Free use of the gym and pool/spa was brilliant. The gym is way better than your average hotel gym.
Disliked: Tired decor but didn't bother us!
