Liked: Really enjoyed our stay with friendly staff. Great breakfast . Staff even went out to get additional requests at breakfast ( such as granola ). Good nights sleep in spacious bedroom with efficient shower,.
Disliked: The on site car park was great benefit - but it is tight for larger cars. ( They did warn us in advance ! ).

Liked: On comparison the hotel across the road, which used to be the premier hotel in Carmarthen where we stayed recently, I can only say the Spillman was on another level where the other hotel was more like a hostel, the Spillman was a real gem, and well worth the money.
Disliked: Parking was not a major issue here but a very narrow entrance as described on the website and on a first come first serve basis with limited spaces however we had no problem finding a spot.

Liked: Central location with easy access to many restaurants and shops. A good base to explore this part of Wales. Excellent breakfast served by very friendly staff. We stayed five nights and were given a very large room with en suite. It was during the recent heatwave and fan was provided which helped at night. They asked at breakfast if you wanted your room serviced, a policy I agree with on eco grounds. It was also very good value for money and I would not hesitate to stay there again.
Disliked: The car park entrance is very tight. But doable with care.

Pleasant enough

Liked: Bedroom and bathroom beautifully decorated and spacious
Disliked: Bed was really soft and someone like me with a back problem found it difficult to sleep, also lights although really stylish we’re very bright.
