Spark by Hilton Lancaster Dutch Country

My overall experience at Wingate was not satisfactory. I wouldn't recommend staying at this location and I have no plans of returning.

Liked: The room itself was decent.
Disliked: Called 2 days before my scheduled check in requesting an early check in time (2.5 hours early). When I arrived I was told I couldn't check in. I then called an hour later and was told to call back in another hour. I decided to go back to the hotel to ask for a refund and suddenly my room was available. I drove almost 3 hours for an event in Lancaster. I wasn't happy with my experience at Wingate.

Disliked: Room temp fluctuated a lot and it felt very wet in the room.

Liked: The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
Disliked: The breakfast was ok but the woman that was supposed to be cleaning the tables when guests got up seemed more concerned with having conversations with other employees instead of actually cleaning the tables. She also used the same rag to clean the TV screen to clean the tables.Pillows were too soft.

Disliked: Continental breakfast. Staying at a Hilton affiliated I expected a little more.Room temperature said 70 at night but felt much to warm for what the thermostat showed.

Liked: Breakfast was perfect, because of Health concerns, and fast food consumption, was a good balance. Maybe in the future add some more "Hot" options(waffles, oatmeal,etc.
Disliked: As soon as you exit the hotel it smelled like manure. A very strong smell. Bad weekend for fertilizer. Only complaint.

Perfect Spot

Liked: This property was very nice. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, staff was helpful and coffee bar was available 24 hours! I will stay here again!
Disliked: Nothing to complain about!
