Old School Pub Accommodation

Liked: I booked this hotel based on a scrutiny of other venues by using Booking dot com. I had to book a hotel because at about 4AM my car hit a roo on the highway near Collector. I was carless and 1500KM from my destination (Brisbane). I was adrift with stress and confusion because my car no longer worked (radiator, rooined... LOL... I can pun now but when I booked this hotel I was bereft of humour). I had hours to wait (I got into town at about 630AM and check-in was not until the pub opened, I think at 11AM). In the end I didn't stay the night. I used the room to organise my stress, organise my thoughts, have a nap, and organise a hire car. This is an old school pub hotel. Shared shower/toilet. It's good, honest, and basic.

Liked: Clean, neat, cosy, easy to find good value for money
Disliked: Heater in room wasn’t quite effective enough. Curtains were very light for such a cold climate
