This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I loved it so much that we have booked another Harbour Hotel in Salcombe.
Liked: The views of the harbour; the spa; the amazing dining room/bar at the top of the hotel; the rooms; complimentary sherry and gin.
Disliked: Nothing bad.

Lovely Anniversary Stay
Liked: Everything was lovely and clean, spa was lovely before the loud kids, and staff were friendly. Food was delicious and had loads of good choices.
Disliked: Loud kids using the spa as a play ground - jumping in and out of the pool, screaming, and nothing was done about it despite saying something to staff.

OK, but only just.
Liked: Staff are very helpful and friendly. Location's good for the marina.
Disliked: The cold water didn't work in my room. I ended up tracing the pipework and turning on an isolation valve to fix it. Must have been a maintenance oversight but these things shouldn't happen. The bar on the 6th floor has a decent view but the food is highly mediocre and really overpriced. £36 for a badly cooked steak with £9 for a single side isn't acceptable.I found the bar staff pleasant and helpful. They could do with offering some advice to diners though. Someone ordered a ribeye steak and asked for it rare. Any knowledge server would suggest that ribeye needs to be cooked on a bit to render the fat. The consequence was that the diner complained about his steak being inedible. Bad for the customer and bad for the business.A couple of dishes were unavailable but diners weren't told in advance, only when ordering. The staff were also clearly being told to push sales of a particular wine as I heard several of them coming out with the same verbatim phrases about how good it was. They were busy offering free samples so I can only imagine someone bought a lot that they're trying to shift. There are much less.obvious ways to do this

Nice rooms with a lovely...
Liked: Lovely property right in front of the harbour .
Disliked: Two things I didn’t like about my stay was that there was not enough loungers by the spa/pool area. When we got there around 3pm check in time on a Saturday , the pool area was so full that there was not even enough space to hang your towel or get a place to sit by the pool .Second problem I had was that the breakfast area in the bar was always busy , staff were running around trying to get everyone orders and food served . We stayed there for two nights and the both mornings it look a long time for the waitress to come and order our breakfast. One morning after ordering the food the staff forgot to serve my breakfast!

Beautiful hotel but disappointing experience...
Liked: Beautiful hotel overall, great location, concierge Darren was exceptional,
Disliked: Spa was very worn and the check in experience was quite painful. Treatments were ok but not incredible. Photos attached of the spa, you don’t expect mould and water damage in a 5* spa! Some issues with the room which the hotel tried to deal with but honestly I am home now feeling pretty annoyed I paid to stay somewhere I couldn’t properly sleep or shower - all combined really took the shine off what should have been an incredible experience. I have stayed here a few times with work and always been impressed so expect our disappointment is an anomaly but to be honest I won’t be returning to find out.

Amazing staff, views, location, and...
Liked: We got off the plane in London and took a train to Southampton. By the time we got to the hotel, it was 11 a.m. but we'd been up for 26 hours at that point. I was going to throw myself on their mercy and take any room they had available, but our lovely suite was all ready for us! The bed was blissful, and the view was beautiful. We basically slept off our jet leg that day, but the late lunch and breakfast we had there was just lovely, as well.
