Mixed Feelings

Liked: The South Sands is a fairly modern Hotel with pleasant decor and ample parking. The restaurant is very welcoming and the food is very good and reasonably priced. The breakfast is also very good with a good selection to choose from.The room was spacious and clean with all the required facilities, tea, coffee etc....
Disliked: The room was in a separate annex (a converted bungalow?) which wasn't ideal as the weather wasn't very favourable for the walk across the car park to the main hotel. There was no Wifi facility within the annex which made work a bit more of a challenge. The remote for the television didn't work even though they changed the batteries? And finally dinner finished at 8 o'clock and the bar / restaurant also closed early. Disappointed for the price.

Perfect hotel for a relaxing...

Liked: Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice (included in the price) in the pleasant dining room. Spacious room in the annexe. Hot shower. Decent wardrobe space with hangers. Great location for beach and woodland walks.
Disliked: Nothing.

Relaxing, great food and excellent...

Liked: Wonderful location, away from busy Weston Super Mare looking out over the beach. Booked a table for dinner the food was excellent, relaxed atmosphere and good wine. Breakfast was included and choice was exceptional, smoked salmon, egg benedict.
Disliked: I requested a bath, the only fault I found was the water pressure. Nothing to moan about just slow.
