Eclectic and interesting Bed and...

Liked: The host was friendly and responsive. The tv lounge and rooftop public areas are comfortable and attractive. Breakfast was simple but nicely done.
Disliked: Our primary complaints relate to the One-Bedroom Suite we stayed in, which is on the top two floors of the hotel. The shower was uncomfortable and difficult to use, as there is only a hand-sprayer in a tub, with no bracket to hold it. This was made worse by the ill-fitting shower curtain that did not enclose the tub entirely.The internal stairs from the entry/living-room to the bedroom/bathroom are steep and treacherous even by European standards. Be very careful if wearing socks, as the painted wooden steps can be slippery!While we appreciated that there was air-conditioning in the room, the air conditioners in both rooms made intermittent loud buzzing sounds that made it hard to sleep. It sounded like a pump activating.Finally, we noticed immediately that the hand-soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty when we arrived. The host brought us a separate liquid soap bottle. After the first housekeeping, the bottle was removed, and yet the wall-mounted soap was never replaced during the next 3 days of our stay.
