Wonderful!

Liked: From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome, going above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after. The facilities are excellent, and the recent renovation has given the hotel a stylish and modern interior.
Disliked: The spa is excellent, although it is on the expensive side. There is also surge pricing at weekends, which took us by surprise.

Disliked: Check in 3pm and we had to check out at 11.00 which was poor. Not even 24 hours. Also we were promised that reception would call us when room was ready but they didn’t. We felt they didn’t bend over backwards to give us the room and as check out was at 11.00 the room could have been prioritised. We arrived at midday and went out as room wasn’t prepared. Also next morning at 11.00 sharp the key wouldn’t work. Just for this type of hotel we felt it was pushy, like a one in, one out regime. Not that welcoming! Omboo restaurant staff excellent. Also no board games which was a shame.

Liked: I’ve been before and this time I was in one of the refurbished rooms I believed. We initially had a room with no bath however Kelly found one with a bath as I had bad back a needed a soak.
Disliked: When we came back from the spa we called and asked for 2 glasses of ice for I could ice my back and the rest for our trip water as we were very hot from the sauna. The ice took over an hour and multiple calls down to reception to be delivered and this is only due to Kelly personally bringing it up herself. There is no reason 2 cups of ice should take so long….Also I’m not sure the spa is worth it unless you pay the extra for access to the premium spa I think it’s £150 extra

Lovely location for a short...

Liked: Old exterior and nice grounds with a nice, colourful modern interior. The bedroom was lovely. Large bed, very clean, nice bathrooms facilities. A/C worked properly which is always important. Nice on site restaurant that does taste Asian inspired fare. Staff were lovely.
Disliked: The room rate isn’t cheap. And we paid for 2 massages. Despite all this, we weren’t allowed to use the outdoor pool facilities. Seems very tight given the expenditure we put in as guests.
