A very relaxing, luxurious trip

Liked: Well maintained, felt very luxurious. Choice of restaurants, lovely outside terrace. Excellent staff
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: The restaurant was great and the staff friendly
Disliked: The aircon in the roof did not work and they offered no compensation, the room had. I drink or snacks and 3 times I called to get water and the phone was not answered

Nice place but policy would...

Disliked: Arrived at hotel after paying £980 in advance for four rooms, I had to pay £800 in deposit 200 for each room, when I explained I was attending a dinner and wouldn't be eating in the restaurant its hotel policy to charge £200 deposit on arrival for each room.

Exceptional

Sopwell: I wish we'd discovered...

Liked: Our room was of a good size, nicely decorated, clean and well equipped. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well. The staff are very attentive and when things weren't quite right (with our breakfast order), they were corrected very quickly. Room service was particularly good, much shorter wait times compared to any other hotel I've stayed at. Dinner at the brasserie was top notch. On the first day we used the Cottonmill spa with access provided as part of the room package...again these were excellent, but on our checkout day, we upgraded to the Club spa facilities - which are simply world class. Already looking at deals to come back later in the year - Sopwell is a gem.
Disliked: What's not to like about Sopwell?I'd struggle to criticise it...ok, one thing, at a push I'd say the music used in the spa...well sometimes it's quite melancholic and occasionally bizarre. Spa music should be a bit more neutral and soothing! But honestly, that is just nit picking!!!

Liked: Loved the hotel. Spa, breakfast and staff were exceptional.
Disliked: Didn't think the asian restaurant was worth the money. I didn't go to the cotton mill club as this seemed expensive for what it offered.
