Liked: A fantastic Hotel at a traditional hotel in the heart of Andermatt. The family room was modern and comfortable, with great views of the surrounding town and Alps.

Nice hotel in Andermatt

Liked: Nice hotel in Andermatt. Staff were polite and courteous. Check-in was easy. Remodeled interior for the room we stayed in, with a low-ceiling loft that sleeps two. Bottles of water were included in our one-night stay. Mini fridge available. Bathroom is an interesting setup where it is like two half-baths; one half-bath had the toilet and a sink, and the other half-bath had the standing shower and another sink. Grocery store and train station nearby within walking distance, as were many ski lifts. Breakfast in the attached restaurant was continental, with fresh bread, cured meats, cheeses, plus spreads (a travel companion quite liked the hazelnut spread).
Disliked: Minor details: the lift upstairs is small; not much to be done about that though as the building itself appears to be older and the lift as added afterwards. Also, the stairs up to the loft beds are a bit steep, so place your more sure-footed travelers up there.
