Sonesta Simply Suites Chicago Libertyville

Great looking room; amenities nice. But the bathroom floor was clearly not cleaned - I wiped the floor to find hair and dirt. Took it reception and they didn't say anything; will not stay again and most likely will not use your service again.

The hotel was perfect for...

Liked: I loved the location. I was there to see my daughter graduate from Navy Bootcamp. I was only about 15 minutes away and it was a very easy drive.
Disliked: Well thanks to it taking forever to get a rental car at O’Hare and the 52 minutes drive to the hotel, I didn’t get there until after 10pm. All I wanted to do was take a hot shower and go to bed BUT when I got there I was met with angry people leaving. When I got to the office to check in I was told there was no water and they were hoping to have it back on by 6am. She then offered to cancel my reservation for free if that would help me. That was lol a slap in the face because it was late and I’m from Georgia so not like I know a good hotel to just go to at 10pm. I finished checking in and went to my room and crashed thinking I would just take a shower in the morning since I needed to get to the graduation pretty early. Morning came and so did 6am but no water! I went to the front desk to see if maybe they had some options and I was told I could buy as many bottles of water as I needed! I then asked about some kind of discount for the inconvenience and I was told I would have to take that up with management.

Love the hotel and location...

Liked: Location and price of hotel is awesome! This was our second stay. Love that it is so pet friendly!
Disliked: Was a little taken back and it may influence whether we stay again, the cost for a pet for one night is the same as for one week, which is a bit much! It was almost the entire cost of our stay, doubled! I don't mind paying that for a couple of days to a week, but $75 for one night is too much and I would definitely choose another location based on this if I am only going to be there for a night in the future.

Liked: Property is in a great location near both Libertyville and Mundelein, was comfortable and an excellent price for four days
Disliked: You do have e to bring your used towels down to the desk to get new ones

Liked: We were there for graduation from Navy Boot Camp. Our rooms were comfortable, clean and the staff was welcoming. We were about a 20 minute drive to base but it was an easy drive. We enjoyed the town of Libertyville.
Disliked: We had no complaints.
