Liked: Good value and friendly staff made a great stay for us

Generally very good but for...

Liked: Way too expensive as ala carte. Only bought a bagle for $6 for that reason.
Disliked: More reasonable prices on breakfast. Nothing hot served. Should not have to pay to park with these prices. When we travel, we start early. Breakfast or coffee at 6:30 is late. 7:00 on weekends is worse. At least they did give some complimentary coffee in the hallway, should be automatic perk.

Good

Outdated building and understaffed hotel.

Liked: There was small Starbucks breakfast stand with limited variety. Location was convenient to access by highway. Room was clean.
Disliked: The building was very old, air conditioner was not working continuously and rather was shutting down and restarting periodically, which resulted in room being overheated. The bed was smaller than King size. Overall, the room size was much smaller compared to typical hotels. Hotel was understaffed. Nobody was answering the phone. When I asked for bathroom refresh, I was told to go get the towels myself and put the trashcan outside of the room. The WIFI was available only if you joined Sonesta membership rather than being available by default for free, as in all other hotels.

More than acceptable for family...

Liked: Very nice hotel. The pool was absolutely perfect for my kids. The deep end was only 6 feet, which was perfectly fine with my kids. The majority of the staff at the front desk were very friendly. The room having both a mini fridge and microwave was wonderful for those quick lunches to save us money from eating out. Close to the beach and Atlantic City (about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic).
Disliked: Unfortunately our bedding had stains and there were stains on the bathroom wall above the mirror. The cafe was supposed to be open until 10, but when we went at 9:15, I was informed the coffee machine was off for the day. Would be so much better to have it available to guests throughout the day, even if it's just the front person tending to it (we were there 4 days and it was NEVER busy or crowded at all).

Liked: Shockingly a great value for a holiday weekend. Convenient location just a 15-20 min drive to Asbury Park. Clean facilities. Didn’t get to use the pool, but looked like a great option for groups/families.
