Sonesta Select Austin North Central

Lately disappointing.

Liked: Relatively decent price, and close enough to downtown Austin (albeit not in a great area).
Disliked: No breakfast or coffee, no wifi, check in took long since systems were down, no shampoo, body wash or conditioner, only 1 towel (even though 3 people are listed on the reservation), and we found a cockroach running around on the ground when we first walked into the room. The first time I stayed here before this last trip, the elevators were also not working and there was the same issue with the towels and soap.

Worst experience ever

Liked: Was yelled by the receptionist and refuse to receive service by him acted like a little child even though I had a confirmation to show him, E refused to give me service call to a police
Disliked: The most absurd scenario ever in my life, you guys should really reconsider your staff. This is beyond humiliation disappointment, and lack of humanity.

Liked: The staff were polite
Disliked: I felt very unsafe the whole time. The halls smelt of smoke. Could hear loads of noise and it’s around 15mins into the main area of Austin.

Liked: Pool looked great even though I’m only there for work!!!!
Disliked: What looked good when you walk in is not, My room smelled horrible like cat urine I’m not a complaining person but when I have to do house keeping job upsets me so I clean my self to masking a smell did not work. Strange man came to my door talking about maintenance stand off to the side of the peep hole I told him to leave. my room was connected with somebody and they was trying to open that door while I was in bed. Plus I paid to have breakfast included it was not true no breakfast.

Liked: the gentleman who worked the day I arrived. He solved many questions myself and husband my husband asked. He even helped us with a situation we had. He was very respectful and friendly to me and my husband.
Disliked: the rooms were not clean. The rooms had bad odor. The bedding,clothing had dried blood on the blamket. The room was not cleaned on the day befor our checkout day. That was the 4 of August. We did not have enough of soap in the soap containers. The light by the restroom sink was out both days of our trip. The exit doors was unlock and open all night. This is the most horiable, nasty place I ever been in my entire life.
