Liked: For fumigation of our home , this property is near us being in our city.
Disliked: This hotel has many buildings. However, we got building #15 that’s adjacent to the 405 freeway. It’s so noisy , and there’s a chicken wire fence between us. It’s so unsafe. The pull out mattress from the sofa is for torture not sleeping. The floor is better because the pullout is springs only. Nothing to do with mattress. Supposedly, our room sleeps 3 people, but the plate setting and chairs are only for 2.

Liked: Super spacious & made our week in California easy. Kitchen & microwave was amazing. Location to get on & to beach was super easy. Gas stations & some fast food are convenient also.
Disliked: The pool , was so tiny & way over crowded No was monitoring the pool , loud music & alot of adults taken all the seats we didn't even get to enjoy the pool. Day 2 & 3 we tried to go before crowded & it was nasty things floating bugs all in pool. No one had even bothered to clean it , day 3 so many people was in the extremely tiny pool we again couldn't use it. Very sad as I booked my stay off a pool being present for my children ro enjoy!

Not what I expected

Disliked: One extremely small pool for the size of this location was beyond ridiculous. Dog poop smeared on walking path and hallways needed to be watered down dog pee and spills were evidently visible. Room smelled and they could not provide additional blankets etc etc There pictures online of this facility are definitely deceiving.

Disappointing Customer Service

Disliked: Unfortunately this hotel called us hours before check-in while we were driving from Phoenix to LA area to tell us that our room for the next 5 nights was cancelled because the previous guest & their pet destroyed the room and it was not fit for us to stay in. The manager said the hotel was completely sold out, and that the sister hotel next door was also sold out. So they arranged us a room at their Anaheim location, which was about 20 miles away in a location we didn't want to stay (also about 20 minutes further from the beach). Other than free parking, they did not offer any kind of discount or reimbursement for the trouble, which was extremely disappointing. While I understand things happen, I'll be wary of booking with another Sonesta hotel in the future.

Liked: We got an upgraded room at 10pm. It was really nice and comfortable. I liked that the kitchen had plates, cups, pots, and pans. The fridge was nice because it made ice! We didn’t have to leave the room. We didn’t need to buy anything for the kitchen except food. My nephew and I really enjoyed the pool. It wasn’t too deep. There were clean towels available in the area. I really liked the hot tub. It was quiet. The staff was really nice and helpful.
