Would stay again but was...
Liked: The room and location were great. The unit was as expected.
Disliked: What was not great is that I arrived earlier than my 4:00 p.m. check-in. There was no staff to check-in with. I specifically did not want to do the online verification . . . I'm just weird about having my I.D. floating around (regardless of the promised cyber security), I spoke with an agent and he assured me I could check-in in person when I arrived. But there was no front desk and no one to talk to! I also did not know there was an elevator (its in the restaurant, never thought to check there). I'm 70 years old and had to hump a heavy suitcase up a very long flight of stairs. As I arrived early (at 3:05), to check-in early it would have cost an additional $56.00. So I sat in the hallway. However, your agent on the chat was able to let me in to the room at about 3:40 p.m. I did appreciate that. So be very careful when selecting your intended arrival time. And be aware that there is no one on site at this property to help you or answer questions.

Disappointing
Liked: the bed was comfortable
Disliked: I have trouble accessing the entry codesthe room was comfortable but very small, the photos are not an accurate depiction there were no windows and the air conditioning was noisy

Our worst hotel stay
Liked: Comfortable bed and pillows. TV was just above the bed
Disliked: Incredibly noisy air conditioner - every 20-60minutes it makes a loud rattling sound that lasts for ~30 seconds and it will DEFINITELY wake you up even with the white noise machine (provided by the hotel) and my personal sound proofing earbuds. I ended up staying up from 2am to 4am messaging the "24/7" Sonder staff but their replies can take a while and I complained about the noise just before midnight with no response. Only when it woke me up again at 2am did I message again to get a response. The hotel is actually aware of this noisy problem (stated in private policy) and says it's normal and every room will sound like this, therefore no room change/upgrade is offered. After much persistence did they provide a $150 coupon which can't even be used to pay for room service $70 CAD so this voucher will go to waste because I will never book at Sonder again. I would've thought that for our 7 day booking they would offer complimentary room service because by the first day the small boxed room is so humid and there is no way to air it out. All the clean towels and your clothes will smell the same. We cancelled our reservation early and needed to treat ourselves to a luxury hotel instead.

Liked: The location is excellent.The room was small but well designed with good storage. Enjoyed that everything was on the app.
Disliked: Our window faced a wall but we were unable to open to allow fresh air in. Our aircon was on, it made a terrible noise every 2ish hours - when I contacted through the app was told and included video evidence I was told that they would “send a white noise machine and ear plugs” which never arrived. They said that they would send maintenance to look - who arrived 24 hrs later and explained the issue. However the noise kept happening. The rooftop was also shut off even though it was 20+ degrees outside.

Very good
Liked: The hotel was comfortable, clean, and in a great location—perfect for our stay. It definitely served its purpose, though it was a bit on the pricier side.
Disliked: My only real complaint was having to download an app just to access the room, which felt a bit inconvenient.
