Liked: The room was decorated nicely
Disliked: The bed was dirty and had lots of little black hairs under the covers. The bin hadn’t been emptied from the previous guests. When we got there after a 25 hr flight we had to wait 15 mins for the staff to call the manager as they couldn’t see our payment. I had paid online through a link after I told them I wasn’t happy with this so this wasn’t good.

Lovely wee hotel but lots...

Liked: Close to my family. Small but adequate. Really clean. Friendly staff
Disliked: Lots of stairs to carry a suitcase up and NO lift. Tough going

Liked: I guess the place is in a reasonable location
Disliked: I can’t really give a proper rating, all I can say is that my experience of booking this place through Booking.com was relatively easy, however I had an email to say the hotel had changed management, and that’s when the problems began. I had no contact from the new owner at all despite being told by booking would transfer. I ended up having to book another hotel to stay in because I could not risk being in London with my autistic child and having nowhere to stay. I have subsequently received a refund from Sondor, the original owner of the hotel. I tried to contact the new owners of the hotel several times leaving over 27 voice messages and got no response. I got an email at 3:53 on the day I was due to arrive, when checking in at 4 pm, to tell me that they were expecting me. I did visit the hotel the day after and if you are disabled, I would totally avoid as there are quite steep shiny steps going up to the building. I spoke with the gentleman at the desk who told me Booking.com had not passed across any details of any customers who were due to stay so they had no idea who they were expecting. They said if I had turned up, they would’ve had a room for me and they would’ve made me pay again despite the fact that I had no refund from anybody at that point. The hotel looked okay, it looked reasonably clean in the reception and guess the location was good. The issue for me is it clearly whoever is taking it has no idea how to run a hotel.I’m still waiting for Booking.com to pay me the £25 they said they would as I had to rebook the hotel and it was not my fault

Disappointed, but hope they will...

Liked: The location provides easy bus transportation into central London. There was a great bread store around the corner called Bread by Bike which also has a nice little cafe.
Disliked: The owner of the hotel changed between our reservation and our arrival. The new owners seem to be going through a lot of growing pains and did not get specific room requests made by me to the prior owner. That ended up with us having to change rooms during our stay..I hope that the new owners get their act together over time since the hotel is in a very convenient location for us to visit family. If you have no mobility issues, note that there is no elevator. There is a flight of steps from the outside to the reception. They have a few rooms on the reception level, but all other rooms require more steps.
