Solent Hotel and Spa

Very good

Liked: Great shower, comfy bed, almost all the staff extremely helpful and made the stay very enjoyable.
Disliked: The evening staff on reception when we arrived were not particularly welcoming.The room was a little tired and could do with updating.

Disliked: Extra charge for using the swimming pool because we had booked through booking.com (apparently it would have been included if we’d booked direct)Absolutely massive queue for breakfast in the morning, despite asking people to book a time.

Disappointing stay

Liked: We had our evening meal here as well as staying and the fillet steak was cooked perfect. The general atmosphere was nice.
Disliked: My starter had a large prawn in the prawn cocktail and it was de-shelled apart from the head for presentation however they had not removed the poop tract, told the waiter, I assumed it was passed on but no one came back to me about it to even say sorry etc, the fillet steak meal is lovely but its missing the garlic and sides and the 'chunky' chips were huge so then turned out to be under cooked.The bed, so uncomfortable, clearly used a lot as had a dip in the middle which annoyingly myself and husband kept rolling into, generally very uncomfortable and the pillows were awful, not to much the noise, the doors slam naturally so didnt sleep alot at all. Gutted really for the price you pay.

Liked: Lovely hotel, great service and friendly staff. Very spacious rooms which were clean and so well equipped too. Breakfast was fresh and tasty and you can have food and coffees to order. We paid to use the spa after we checked out as the rain scuppered our plans and £35 for a full day is an absolute bargain. I also had a stunning massage. There’s a great space outside the spa to sit in the sunshine. Great facilities and would highly recommend.

Liked: Lovely and helpful staff and great spa facilities.The ev charging points came in handy and about 6-8 of them so plenty for all. Its run by e on. Their app didn't work but using the URL worked better.
Disliked: Room bathrooms are bit dated but clean.
