Liked: The property is located in an area pretty close to the Duomo and the Accademia Gallery. The room has a small kitchenette with cooking supplies, which was nice. The communication from the staff was excellent. They were very responsive and helpful and gave great directions for checking in and getting to our room.
Disliked: The area around the hotel is very tourist trap-y (obviously not the hotel’s fault, but just be aware). The shower drain didn’t drain well, leading the shower to flood and spill onto the bathroom floor if you aren’t careful. Water will also get everywhere because there isn’t really a shower door.The pillows had virtually no substance to them and were pretty uncomfortable, leading to some neck and back pain.

Wonderful place and owners

Liked: The owners Chiara and Domenico are simply marvellous! They responded promptly and gave best solutions to any question I had!The place is very clean, comfy, warm and cozy. It has everything you need from cuttlery, plates, glass wines, mugs, etc.The tram station that takes you to Santa Maria Novella station is just across the street or you walk for 20 minutes.I would definetely love to stay here again!
Disliked: There is nothing I didn't like. I loved everything!

Liked: 1) Location wise, if you exit the train station at the right exit, take Tram T2, two stops, the “hotel” is just cross the road. 2) there was a small kitchen where there was a microwave, I used it almost every day.
Disliked: 1) it took me 30minutes to walk to the ‘hotel’ from Train Station with my luggage, I didn’t receive clear instructions for walking to the hotel. 2) there was no reception & building was very dark, no lighting when I arrived, went up to level 2, it was complete dark, it really got me scared thinking I came to the wrong place. It’s like Airbnb type of accommodation. I booked from booking.com and my selection criteria included 24 hours reception since I traveled alone. I didn’t see the owner at all during my stay. 3) the bed had a fitted sheet that made noise when I sat on the bed, then I looked and found out that it was kind of fitted sheet that prevents from getting the bed wet😲It’s just so weird, in my entire travel experience, I never came cross this kind of fitted sheet in the hotel setting! Of course, I took it out. 4) the shower place is so small and the drainage was very slow, I had to turn it off twice for water to be drained so that my feet were not covered by soap. And water came out and wet the area outside the shower. 5) the kettle didn’t turn off itself. 6) I won’t recommend this place based on my personal experience!!
