SO Sofitel Auckland

This is the best placed we have stayed. We have stayed all over the world and this is the best hotel. Very clean, tidy and super amazing bed to sleep on.

Liked: The room was amazing and the staff were so friendly.
Disliked: None.

Liked: Room was nice and overall clean.
Disliked: The tv did not work, the bathroom flooded and we found a previous guest belongings in our room. The Hotel staff switched our room after we complained and gave us a voucher to compensate for the bad experience. Our new room did not have any robes. We went to use the voucher the morning after and was not clear to what it was actually for and the receptionist was on the side of rude when we tried to understand how to use our voucher. A bit disappointing overall, not sure we would return.

A fantastic hotel that exceeded...

Liked: The room I stayed in was absolutely lovely and the staff were as excited as I was that I was staying with them. Big shout-out to Ike and Mele at reception and the staff at the bar on the evening of Apr 18 for being lovely (including the person that served my drinks for most of the time at the bar, he was a darling - I regret not paying a larger tip on my drink but hopefully this suffices :) !). I had both mocktail drinks available at the time and would highly recommend the Spritz one. The spa services were excellent as someone who is normally weary of these types of services - the person who helped me at the spa was very professional. The view was also lovely :)
Disliked: The only very minor things I would advise against is the shampoo/conditioner/body wash specifically at the bath tub (the shower ones were fine) because they smelled a little strange. Otherwise, it was a fantastic stay and I will definitely visit again.

Disliked: The room lights - very confusing

Disappointing compared to club rooms...

Liked: Pool and spa was amazing and room was very well laid out.
Disliked: Breakfast the only thing that was hot was the toast I cooked myself. No offer of hot drinks. Club lounge was very disappointing both food and beverage. Couldn't work the lights in the room until I found the master switch the following morning.
