Overall a good place for...
Liked: Very large room , Very helpful staff
Disliked: Limited Menu, restaurant is more like a bar. No lift so had to carry a heavy case up two flights of stairs with a long corridor in between

A good spot to stop
Liked: Very welcoming and helpful. A classic older hotel that was well maintained. Attached lounge and restaurant was a comfortable place to have a pint and dinner after a long day of travelling.full breakfast was nice as well. Great value

Hoped for a little more
Liked: Room was clean and location was good for our needs with a cycling event in Inverness
Disliked: Big local cycling event bringing lots of cash into the local economy; hardly no effort to facilitate the early risers who had booked out the hotel. Breakfast tray brought up to room with a wrapped croissant and yogurt. I would have liked to see them open the breakfast room early considering the amount of bookings they had due to the cycling event so we could use a toaster and get access to coffee other than the instant sachet in the bed rooms. Also someone set off a fire alarm just gone midnight

A warm, friendly, family run...
Liked: Good location about a 10 min drive from the City Centre and close to the airport. Although on arrival the hotel looks a bit dated and not very modern it’s clean and comfortable inside. The owners and staff are some of the best I’ve come across in the hospitality industry. Super friendly and chatty, they couldn’t do enough for the guests. I was up for the Etape Loch Ness so was leaving super early on the day of the ride, Peter offered to have a bit of breakfast left by the door which was great, no big chain hotels would do that for you. The food from the restaurant for breakfast and evening meals were simple and tasty, all homemade, big portions and well cooked. Having USB sockets in the rooms was a great and negated the need for plugs.
Disliked: It was a little noisy in the evenings but more than tolerable, and generally quiet after 11 at weekends. Most of the noise came from creaky floor boards and the walls being quite thin so you could hear everything in adjoining rooms.

Staff were lovely and welcoming...
Liked: The hotel was easy to find with the satnav. It was in a quiet location and close to the places we wanted to visit.
Disliked: Two sets of stairs up to the room, however the room was large and they did offer to help with the bags.

Good
Liked: Good price, handy for visiting Culloden, quiet surroundings and genuine Scottish hospitality.
Disliked: Breakfast service was a bit slow and the reception service was bit hit and miss. Noise from bar. Room needed some tlc, broken window limiter etc.
