Perfect short stay!!

Liked: The location was excellent right off the highway for travel. Check in staff was very efficient and helpful. The owner was there and made a point to come over and greet us and see if we needed anything. Felt very secure. Room was well appointed and clean. Couldn't ask for more. Very friendly people. Will go back here if in the area again.
Disliked: Can't think of anything. Beds were actually very comfortable.

Disliked: Last time i attempted to check in they demanded that i pay a $200 deposit on top of the nightly rental price. I could tell by the demeanor of the staff that i was being prejudiced and the time i stayed one month prior they didn't ask for such a deposit so it was obvious so i walked out and got accomodations elsewhere in Beckley. Smart is the worst motel in Beckley and anyone wanting a cheap room could do better (i mean and a $200 deposit is by no means cheap, they can refuse to pay it back to you if you so much as leave a little cigarette tobacco on the dresser by saying you trashed the room)..

Liked: Very upfront that they didn’t offer breakfast/breakfast. No surprizes. Bare bones but much nicer than places costing much much more. Very pleasant and helpful staff
