Excellent but could have been...
Liked: Beautiful setting in an excellent location. Cabins were fabulous, and cosy/very warm!
Disliked: Morning one of our “relaxing” trip we were awoken to the sound of someone mowing and strimming the grass right outside our cabin. Just before 9am. Not exactly the relaxing wake up we had in mind on our trip. In fact, it put a real dampener on it. I highlighted this to the company via Facebook but didn’t even get a response. Hugely disappointing. I understand this is a sanctuary and work needs to be done( I am a farmer) however you can’t sell a stay as relaxing only to have someone hitting off the cabin with a lawnmower first thing in the morning. We also got messaged by someone working for the company on the first day of our trip (as we were travelling down) asking us to cancel the trip on Booking and pay them in cash instead at a discount - in the days of scams etc, it just added extra stress to our day/journey that we really didn’t need.

Lovely place to switch off...
Liked: Beautiful cabin with great facilities. I have stayed in off-grid accommodation before where the facilities were very limited, but the cabin here had all the comforts while also maintaining the ecologically-focused ideals. The quality of the cabin itself can't be faulted, you have exactly what you need. The surroundings are nice and quiet. We had all kinds of weather during our stay, but it was just as nice to sit by the fire on a rainy day as it was to explore during the sunshine.
Disliked: Some of the cabins are closer together than I initially believed from looking at the photos. Another couple was staying in a cabin behind our cabin, but once we closed the back blind of the cabin you would forget they were even there. could maybe be improved by growing some bushes at the back the cabin to separate them more visually, but overall not a big issue! There is a walk from the carpark to the cabins over trails. Small wagons are provided to help bring suitcases or other items, but I'd advise you to just try to pack light and carry what you can as the wagon can be a little awkward to manage on some of trails, especially if it's wet and mucky like during our arrival and departure!

Amazing concept, but seems to...
Liked: Incredible setting, the nature walk is very beautiful fantastic to see indigenous burren flora
Disliked: We stayed in early January. The cabin felt very damp and we were given a thin summer duvet on the bed. Lighting the fire for us ahead of our arrival would have been a nice touch, and taken the damp feel off the bed.Not having basics like salt in the kitchen was annoying.A large light pointing directly at us from the nearby barn caused a lot of light pollution

Excellent
Liked: Every part of the slow cabin. Open room, warm shower, log fire etc. Location was lovely with the countryside and the animals. Waking up in mornings to see them with hot coffee was very relaxing. Walking around the site was so nice. The trails were laid out very well
Disliked: Nothing
