Basic, loud. Not recommended -...
Liked: The staff are excellent and super helpful and friendly. Location is great - very close to the train station and Cardiff city centre
Disliked: The rooms are incredibly small. The room was very noisy - you can hear doors opening and closing and noise from other rooms. I was woken by a very loud noise at 2am from what I can only presume was some kind of fan or central heating system - it was beyond loud and led to an evening of terrible sleep. The room is not very comfortable and the fixed kettle on the bedside table is not practical at all.

An horrendous experience, with lack...
Liked: Location
Disliked: It was extremely noisy. You could here tv’s and other people’s conversations. There was no sound proofing at all. The bathroom was terrible no privacy, the door into it was glass so you can see other person in there. Also no other toilet facilities in the rest of the hotel which we found quite shocking because if you were in the restaurant or bar you had to go back to your room to use the toilet. The main issue for us was the fire alarm went off throughout the whole hotel at 5.55AM it continued for about 5 minutes. Everyone was panicking it then went off and started again a few minutes later. No member of staff came to reassure any of the guests it was a false alarm! I have been diagnosed with depression and severe panic attacks which this horrendous incident caused me to have a panic attack. We only knew it was a false alarm from another guest telling us. We had to ask a member of staff ourselves the next day when checking out what happened, no apology was given just a short explanation to say a guest was smoking in their room. Our trip was ruined and we went straight home and didn’t get to do what we had planned.
