Sleep Inn Center City

We went back to our hotel at the Sleep Inn, Center City. Which was only a 10 minute drive to and from the venue. This hotel looks like a hole in a wall. It is very deceiving. Once we entered the lobby it was very clean and rooms are very nice! The room had a mini fridge and microwave. The room charge also came with a wonderful breakfast on the second floor. Bacon, eggs, bagels, waffles, oatmeal, cold cereal, coffee, tea, and cocoa. All the staff I came into contact with were very nice and extremely helpful. This hotel is surrounded by several restaurants all within walking distance. Definitely a plus for us! The only drawback was the handicap bathroom. The tub was a very deep tub - this made it virtually impossible to get my mother in by myself as she is on the short side. Getting her out I needed to call my cousin in for help. It took 3 of us to get her out. I spoke with the manager and asked if I could make a few suggestions to make the bathroom more handicap friendly. He said sure. My suggestions were: Entrance to bathroom should be flushed with the carpet, so you wouldn't have to bunny hop the lip to get into the bathroom. A little exaggerated but I did have a hard time getting her wheels into the bathroom. Perhaps a walk-in shower or a shorter tub. A fold down chair in the shower would've been helpful. Only to find out by the manager that they have shower chairs upon request. Which I didn't know to ask for. So be sure to request one if that would be of help to you. Otherwise the hotel was great! This hotel is a perfect example of 'don't judge a book by it's cover'. We had a wonderful time and hope if you go you will too!

Disliked: There was no soap of any kind in the bathroom. There was a notice stating a $200 hold on my credit card but instead, a $400 hold was placed.

Disliked: The fact that I almost didn’t get in because of how incompetent your staff is, sadly

It was cool though.

Liked: I didn’t like the idea of not being allowed to take my breakfast to my room. Also, I assumed I would have a tub due to the photos but I was disappointed. Also, my guess were not allowed to bring my package to my room which was really inconvenient because I had a baby with me.

Disliked: I had a problem with the key getting into the room. The complimentary breakfast wasn't ready at the time they said it would be. And you have to request for your room to be cleaned. The security camera doesn't capture the rooms so what is the point of having them.
