Only a short stay but...

Liked: Scenic countryside location. Very quiet and peaceful. Room clean, spacious and great value for money especially considering good hearty breakfast included in the price. Nice chat with lady at reception but all staff genuinely pleasant friendly and helpful. Not in the area very often but will definitely book again. Many thanks Ken W.

Great little place, teriffic young...

Liked: There was a minor hold up waiting for staff to get there but they got things together in record time, the cooked breakfast was excellent and the coffee was superb. No complaints at all, will be back.
Disliked: Nothing really, great value.

Liked: The chef went out of their way to make me an omelette which was not on the menu it was beautiful and the young man serving at breakfast was so lovely and very friendly and helpful
Disliked: Would be better to have the Wi-Fi code available on display in your room

Liked: Very attractive. Good menu. Friendly staff
Disliked: Food that arrived at table not as advertised on a few occasions. No pineapple on gammon (not mentioned when ordering). Avocado not available for breakfast. Scrambled egg was inedible. Some of the staff did not seem up to the job.

it was ok, but overall...

Liked: Pleasant surroundings and quiet. Room was bigger than i anticipated, and room cleaning service very good. The cleaner thoughtfully provided an alternative to the badly stained and rickety chair provided in the room. Bed comfortable but room stuffy. I could have asked for a fan but really there ought to be one provided as standard. Tea coffee and water provision good.
Disliked: Reception staff very unwelcoming. Felt like I was imposing on them rather than being a valued guest. An awful palaver was made over a very simple request to take an early morning breakfast bag on the day of check out. I was told to pick it up the night before at the nearby restaurant at a specific time, but when i made a special effort to do this, the bag was not ready. It would be delivered within the hour but it didnt appear. After this i went back and told the staff to forget about it, but much later in the evening - after going to bed - it appeared at the door clearly as an afterthought.. I think there might be a bad disconnect between the hotel staff and the people who work in the kitchen. Bathroom extractor fan very noisy and annoying; it took an age to stop after turning off the light. Bathroom toiletries woefully inadequate. Cannot understand why for the prices the customer pays such shoddy and cheapjack toiletries are provided. Again asking for more of the tiny pods of body wash should not be necessary.
