Liked: Liz and Chris were brilliant hostsFantastic communication prior to arrival and during stayThe location of Slack Cottage is a stones throw away from Lake Windermere.Although hidden away, you have amazing wow !! views of the lake.The cottage has a secret path taking you directly down to the lakeside, an ideal spot for an evening stroll to catch a sunsetThe cottage has such an interesting history and is full of character, with a comfortable bed, private bathroom and little touches to spoil you during your stay.Breakfast was amazing, delicious and filling, even catering for vegetarians served by our personal waiter Chris 11/10Do spent an evening in the garden, again hidden making it truly magical - hearing birdsong and sunsets ending a perfect stay.It was a fantastic opportunity and base to explore the Lake District, a magical place to forget about the mundane working week but just to relax and enjoy the fresh air. Thank you Liz and Chris x

Liked: The location of Slack Cottage is amazing - it's secluded and has the most incredible view. The easy access to a lakeside path makes a morning or evening stroll a must. Liz gave us a warm welcome and we were really impressed with our room - the decor, the cleanliness, the view and the little touches such as the drinks tray and the bathroom products. Liz made us an extremely filling and delicious breakfast on both mornings and Chris was a delightfully entertaining waiter! Slack Cottage is a perfect place to relax and forget about the world.

Waking up to breathtaking views and the sounds of the countryside was a highlight of our trip.The attention to detail in the cottage was exceptional, making it feel like a true home away from home. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special.We highly recommend Slack Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting.
