Liked: The location of Slack Cottage is amazing - it's secluded and has the most incredible view. The easy access to a lakeside path makes a morning or evening stroll a must. Liz gave us a warm welcome and we were really impressed with our room - the decor, the cleanliness, the view and the little touches such as the drinks tray and the bathroom products. Liz made us an extremely filling and delicious breakfast on both mornings and Chris was a delightfully entertaining waiter! Slack Cottage is a perfect place to relax and forget about the world.
Disliked: Nothing could have been any better than it was. Thank you.

The cottage itself is charming, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The location is stunning—peaceful and surrounded by nature, yet conveniently close to local attractions and scenic walks. Waking up to breathtaking views and the sounds of the countryside was a highlight of our trip.The attention to detail in the cottage was exceptional, making it feel like a true home away from home. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special.We highly recommend Slack Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting. We can’t wait to return!

Liked: All the little touches such as sherry , biscuits, gHermes of milk in the room. The breakfast was generous and delicious. The view from the room was stunning. The bed was really comfy.

Liked: Wow! Our stay at Slack Cottage was lovely. Our hosts, Liz and Chris, were extremely welcoming and are very interesting and talented people. Their home and the views are something else. We look forward to returning.

A relaxing and comfortable stay...

Liked: Beautiful peaceful location right on the lakeside. Hosts Liz & Chris were friendly and knowledgeable of the lakes and surrounding area. The full English breakfast was lovely with an added choice of cereals, fresh fruits and yogurt, or continental. Room was very comfortable and well equipped with choice of teas and coffees with amazing view of the lake . A beautiful cottage with an interesting history and amazing views.

A cost and quiet retreat...

Liked: Excellent location, peaceful and quiet, cosy. Breakfast was substantial and tasty.
Disliked: WiFi did not work for us but then again is in remote area - not the end of the world.

An all round great experience...

Liked: Gorgeous remote location short walk from lake front. Stunning view from bedroom window. Friendly owners. Great breakfast. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Amazing historic property.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Liked: Beautiful house with cosy interiors. Very nice, warm and friendly hosts. Delicious breakfast. I asked about vegan options and wasn't disappointed. Enough options to put a smile on my face
