Liked: The manager who helped us solved a real issue for us in room selection. Without his help, the hotel would have been a disappointment. He listened to our concerns and worked hard to solve them. He made our stay a very positive experience.The location was good but quite isolated. It worked for us to get to various sites we were interested in. Not great if you want to be able to walk to bars or restaurants.
Disliked: The restaurant was good. The price was a bit high. I think the amount we paid for the room was high. However, I'm not sure that was't because we booked relatively late.

Liked: A wonderful location and setting for this magnificent hotel. We received a very warm welcome and enjoyed attentive service during our stay. Our room was lovely, with its own balcony overlooking the river at the end of a beautifully kept lawn, affording us a stunning view at sunset. We enjoyed a beautiful meal in the restaurant, again with a lovely view over the grounds to the water. Likewise, breakfast was a lovely affair with a great selection of items, all prepared and cooked to perfection.

Liked: Breakfast and food were of very high qualityThe room was below expectations, the double bed was two individual beds, thus with a separation in between. for the daily rate charged this is unacceptable. Same applies to the size of the room, which_needs to be said_had a very nice view. No amenities (fitness/ pool)

Spacious and Friendly Staff if...

Liked: The Family room was a great size with a separate room for the kids. Very spacious and quiet. Setting was lovely in the lake and close to PortreeThe breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly
Disliked: The interior was a bit dated and it looked like an old golf course hotel. The price of the room was expensive for one night
