Good

Great location, great value, no...

Liked: Great location in the heart of Old San Juan, near bars, caffès and cruise terminal. Most of the rooms don’t have windows and the central AC is not adjustable but the staff was great and gave us extra blankets.

Exceptional

Great location and comfortable room

Liked: Very central and so handy for leaving on a cruise from the port.Room was very large and comfy.Staff were helpful.
Disliked: The windows are old style and it’s very very noisy in old town - cars play loud music throughout the night and rev their engines so loud.Not the fault of the hotel at all of course but something to bear in mind when staying here and hoping for a good sleepWould have been a nice touch to have a bottle of water in the room fridge like many other hotels do. You can buy at reception for a charge though.

S.J. Suites, good value

Liked: I wish I could have controlled the air. It was cold, but I was given a blanket. I couldn't operate the TV. But for the one night I was there it was a great value and location

Liked: Did not eat
Disliked: Too cold No drinking glasses

Facility is dated, but still...

Liked: The staff were outstanding and very helpful. The hotel is located in old town a short walk to the cruise port. Plenty of good restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops and food markets nearby (5 min.) Fun place to stay in San Juan.
Disliked: The room’s carpet was very worn and in desperate need of replacement. No AC adjustment in the room. One size does not fit all.

Very frustrating start to our...

Liked: Great location
Disliked: Upon arrival our room was double booked and their solution was to transfer us to another location. We were traveling with a group and did not want to be split up. Our reservation included someone using a wheelchair and it was not conducive for us to be transferred to another property. The hotel was at a loss on how to accommodate us. They did refund our money and did not offer a discount for another room. Apparently having a confirmation number is useless. Beware.

Proximity to port was great.

Liked: The location worked for us as we were going on a cruise.
Disliked: It was a very old hotel. The elevator was very small, two people couldn't fit with luggage unless we stacked our luggage in the elevator. Our room was very small with a tiny bathroom but appeared clean. If all you need is a place to sleep with no frills it works.
