Sissinghurst Castle Farmhouse

Poor room description with claustrophic...

Liked: Pretty location , convenient if visiting Sissinghurst gardens.Attractive house and garden. Nice afternoon tea served 4-6 after check in .Tastefully decorated and comfortable.
Disliked: One room ,Hazelden is located right over the main entrance and above main stairs . Lots of noise from guests waking past, doors banging constantly from early morning to late night. Not peaceful or relaxing. One important point about this room,is the bathroom is very odd and not clearly shown on the photos on here. The toilet and shower are seperate and fitted into very tight spaces . The size is a small cupboard and not at all suitable if you are claustrophic. The room price does not reflect this that it does not have a decent size bathroom .My request to the owner to change rooms and the small bathroom was refused and not willing to find a alternative solution. I had requested a very quiet room prior to arrival . I would not have chosen this room with the tiny shower , it was not clearly written or clear photos shown on booking. Com.Would not recommend staying in this particular room.. I expect other rooms are better further down the corridor as they have normal sized ensuite bathrooms and will be in a quieter location. Many guests are happy with the accommodation, and I had hoped this would be my experience.

Liked: A beautiful character housewith direct access to Sissinghurst Castle Gardens.Very thoughtfully decorated with comfortable bedrooms.. great homemade cakes/scones & tea on arrival. Amazing breakfast!

Exceeded our expectations, and would...

Liked: The breakfast was delicious with so many choices that were farm fresh and beautifully presented. The homemade granola was the best I've ever had and the hollandaise with the Eggs Benedict was gourmet level. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility, the views and the outdoor space. The proximity to the Sissinghurst Estate was brilliant, just a short walk.
Disliked: The wifi didn't work but we didn't need it as were so enamoured with the property and the Sissinghurst Estate next door that it didn't impact us.

Beautiful grounds and welcoming staff.

Liked: The afternoon tea was delicious and allowed guest to mingle and share experiences.
Disliked: I could have used maid service to make up the room.

Idyllic stay, wonderful staff and...

Liked: The location itself is beautiful. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean! Breakfast choice was excellent as was the quality of the produce. The honesty bar was a lovely touch too. The grounds are spectacular.
Disliked: The only thing I would have liked is a fridge in the room but this is a very minor personal preference and in no way hindered my stay.
