Disappointed

Liked: The location was perfect. Good room size. Getting taxi trough the hotel was easy. Good coffee
Disliked: Worst breakfast, 20 euro for a egg drenched in olive oil, feel like I was having olive oil for breakfast. Half an croissant, 2-3 tiny pieces cut out from a bread. Staff was never there, service was bad. Not a single smile from the staff. SUPER DUSTY. PLEASE DONT GET THE BREAKFAST, MUCH BETTER PLACES EXACTLY OUTSIDE THE HOTEL.

Liked: The receptionists are very kind and friendly.

Wonderful quirky stay, even if...

Liked: We loved the attention for detail in the room, the quirky little things like a bluetooth marshall speaker or an old fashioned phone on a stand to call reception. The location is just perfect for a visit to chique West Berlin. The staff was very friendly. The room was spotless.
Disliked: The room needed some maintenance. A panel fell from the minibar area, the soap rack detached from the shower wall, the bath tub in the suite was of course very fancy with a glass of prosecco but took sooooo long to fill that we kinda lost the buzz.

You get used to the...

Liked: Staff were pleasant. Good bath tub
Disliked: No place to unpack the suitcases: no closet, no drawers, no shelf and no luggage rack. We had a larger room because we needed space but the big heavy black furniture was not practical and only took up space without any benefit. When I complained I was told that is what a "boutique hotel" is like. No place to put a computer and chair for working. It was just uncomfortable and ugly. We were very disappointed.

Great team, nice hotel and...

Liked: The staff were absolutely the best feature of this hotel: a really fantastic team of friendly, smart and helpful people! The hotel design is stylish and clean; the place is well-located, close to public transport and is in a nice neighbourhood, surrounded by nice cafes and restaurants. Also very nice cleaning staff, who were very sweet and clearly doing a fantastic job.
Disliked: As other reviews have mentioned, the room layout is a little strange: there is zero bathroom privacy or space due to the strange bathroom/ toilet design of the room; the sink is actually in the bedroom, so it’s very cluttered if you have toiletries or makeup. There was no desk space/ vanity space, and little storage space (no full-length hanging space such as a wardrobe, no chest of drawers, no place for your suitcase) and no full-length mirror. However, for the price overall the hotel was fine, I understand that these are just ‘modern’ design features that some cool people (with no luggage or clothing) might like! As I mentioned above, the fantastic staff, cleaning team and general ambience really made my stay pleasant.

Liked: Quirky boutique hotel, with nice decor
Disliked: Kitchen had a problem, so no breakfast either morning was a disappointment.

Good enough but

Liked: Room decor was interesting. This hotel is in a very noisy location, main road in front and train tracks right behind the hotel. Staff is hit and miss. Didn’t try the breakfast as it didn’t look appealing and there are many good places in the area.
Disliked: Room cleaning could be approved.
