Liked: Great location easy 5 min walk to Windsor Castle entry gate.Comfy beds average breakfast. All in all a good stay.
Disliked: We booked a room with aircon and were given an old room up multiple flights of stairs with no air con. After some discussion, we were eventually given the room we paid for.

Good

Liked: I spent 5 days at the hotel and was happy with my room, hot water copious, comfortable bed, but too small for more than one suitcase. The hotel is situated on the bank of the river but only a few rooms have a river view. These can only be booked directly with the hotel. My booking.com reservation room view was of a brick wall about 10’ away. This must have been a conversion of more than one house as there are multiple corridors, stairs and no lift though help was provided by strong armed staff! Breakfast buffet is extensive and staff active in clearing tables etc. Reception response varied, the more senior staff handled issues efficiently, others seemed baffled. Up and down the river, everywhere tables are set out overlooking the river except here. Tables and chairs, yes, but only drinks allowed, food is verboten. Seems a major lack but I suppose it is a staffing issue, a pity, great terrace, super view. In the past this was supposed to be the most genteel, now sadly, it falls well short.
Disliked: Two caveats: they send a check-in email. Beware, there is one option, probably left over from covid, to choose no cleaning of the room. Stupidly I believed this was for towels and water conservation but it meant the whole room. It took me 3 days to get my room cleaned and this restriction removed. The other: on booking.com the cost is non-refundable but it is only after confirming that you find parking is very limited but, by then, you are stuck with the room and have to find parking elsewhere… Try to do the parking first, it’s a reservation no payment.

Great stay!

Liked: Lovely property on the riverside, great location and the service was exceptional!
Disliked: I think it may have been an issue with room we were in (406) but it was facing a walkway and people were walking past with bags and trolleys on the concrete floor which made a lot of noise and disturbed our sleep in the morning. Probably not an issue in most rooms though.
