Liked: Location was ok
Disliked: Very rude and opportunistic staff. Breakfast was very standard and dates back to the 80s with less choice variety. Walking to the rooms was like a maze. Manager is very rude and didn’t care to entertain guests concern and comments. Staff are trained to take opportunity of guests. Overall it was not a friendly environment, the facilities are very old. The rooms are quite small.

Liked: The hotel was perfectly located for us as we arrived by train and we visited Windsor castle. The staff were professional, polite and helpful. They kindly looked after our bags when we arrived early and again when we left late. This was a tremendous help to us. We loved the terrace where we had our evening drinks and morning coffee.
Disliked: We liked everything.

Comfortable and quiet hotel with...

Liked: From check-in to check-out the reception staff were very helpful. Our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. We would definitely consider this hotel again if visiting Windsor.
Disliked: Car parking is slightly inconvenient in that the car park is five minutes walk away. Drop off access is possible so we didn't have to carry bags around. I guess this is the price of staying in an old city centre hotel.

Liked: Good location for horse racing. Comfy bed. Shower good. Excellent location for everything Windsor and Eton
Disliked: Terrible view. Woman typing in an office across the block. Felt very hemmed in.

Liked: The location was perfect for our needs
Disliked: Sadly our room overlooked a service yard, which I fully understand, not all rooms have a picture perfect view BUT emptying bottles into the recycling at 2am and again at 5am was inconsiderate. There was also lots of noise from bins being moved around very early, so not a very restful nights sleep
