Disappointed in Silverton, pictures doesn’t...

Liked: The location of this inn is great. Everything is within walking distance. It’s in the center of town. The rooms are full of essential amenities if you’re planning to cook your own meals. Stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker small table and couple of chairs to sit down and eat.
Disliked: At first glance it looks nice from the outside, but once inside you’re not greeted with the same feeling. Rooms are spacious but everything looks old and smells old. It doesn’t give you the feeling that you are getting your money’s worth. We’ve stayed at comparable places where you paid less but felt like you got more for your buck, this place actually gives you the opposite feeling.

Liked: The office was closed when we arrived but they made sure we could get key and the office manager actually met us outside when we arrived to make sure we got in o.k. The room was spotless and the bed comfy. Close walk to good restaurants.

Not sure I’d stay there...

Liked: No management on property. Could never find WiFi password. Heating units extremely noisy. No free breakfast. Poor communication with manager.Clean, nice rooms, with great location.
Disliked: See above.

Perfect place for a brief...

Liked: I LOVED that the manager took the time to call me to confirm that I wanted 2 rooms and then called me on arrival day to tell me how to proceed if the office closed before we arrived. The location is central to Silver Falls State Park and the tulip fields. The hotel is located in walking distance of many restaurants, cute shops, live music. The food at the restaurant was good ( best gf hamburger buns I’ve had! And great desserts! Crème de brûle, etc). I found the room clean and comfy.

Cute exterior but not worth...

Liked: Exterior was very cute. Interior did not meet the same level of cuteness. Beds were decently comfortable. TV was good size and worked well. Seemed very clean. Surprised by massaging recliner.
Disliked: Quilts on beds were far too thin for the time of year, so had to use extra blankets from the closet. Heating unit was very loud and vibrated when running. Bathroom only had pedestal sink so no counter space. No lid for toilet seat. Water in bath sink was only a minimal stream and would not get hot. Kitchenette sink also had barely any water pressure and only got hot after running for several minutes. Staff was loudly rolling trash cans around outside for quite a while at a late hour (10:00pm).

Liked: The Silverton Inn has a beautiful exterior and is located in the heart of downtown.
Disliked: Our room was in need of updating/upgrading and just simple maintenance. The wall clock didn’t work, a lightbulb in the bathroom was burned out, the hot water was just a trickle (though the cold water flowed well), the smart TV was difficult to operate with long delays before the next channel appeared when the channel was changed, at times the TV picture and sound were 10 or more seconds out of sync, and the finish on the nightstand was old and peeling.
