Liked: Great location.The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice and there was bingo and a singer which created a nice atmosphere in the evening
Disliked: The lift would only take 2 people and took a long time and the stairs were very steep.I couldnt manage them easily due to a recent injury. the bed was not comfortable and the cupboard in the small corner room we were in was not sturdy atall so when opened it started to tip over. there was also a dirt mark on the bottom of the sheet and the windows had alot of condensation inside the double glazing. I dont feel it was good value for money staying in such a small room for 80 pounds for one night but i was told it is under new management so they might have new plans for the hotel.The other room that we booked was a bit bigger and had better furniture.

Exceptional

Disappointing.

Liked: Rooms and public areas clean and tidy. Staff very good.
Disliked: Catering very poor, breakfast poor quality cheap ingredients and overcooked. Booked in for dinner on a pre-order only to be told at dinner time they didn't have enough beef, asked by the server did we won't roast pork which we said no. Astounded to be asked if we wanted a plate of veg and potatoes. Duty manager apologised and gave us a contribution to dinner elsewhere. You really shouldn't "run out" of items when dinner is on a pre-order. Had booked via Caledonian Travel for New Year but going to cancel now!

Very good

Liked: Good room..room service everyday..heating on when it turned cold..plenty hot water..entertainment 2 nights out of 3 that I stayed..hotel seemed to be run in a relaxed easy going manner which reflected well with the clientele .
Disliked: Nothing comes to mind that I didn't like

Liked: The tram was at the bottom of the street easy to travel around
Disliked: Went into bedroom, very tiny room ,when coming out of bed put one foot down on the floor u were right into the wall, bits lying on bathroom floor, radiator dirty ,didn't use shower, only ordered 2 pieces of bacon for breakfast to get 8 small burnt ends of bacon ,disgusting also waited ages to get served and tea was cold asked for more hot tea and still waiting on it , I complained to young boy who said to me ,I know its been some morning ,will never stay again and would not reccomend this hotel
