Quirky and welcoming

Liked: This is a very quirky little B and B style accomodation. The host is wonderful and welcoming and there is tea, coffee and lovely homemade biscuits on offer for guests. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was very nice but there is little choice above any dietry issues. Which for most people will not be an issue. Parking is provided and there was no issue with getting a space.
Disliked: The one negative is the the door frames to some of the rooms. The one we stayed in was not complete. It only comes up to the level of the door. So you are left with a very large gap at the top that is open to the landing. So there are issues with sound proofing in both directions. There are internal doors to the bathroom and bedroom that can be shut. However, the room was very small so having to shut them does hem you in quite a bit. It is perhaps where for us quirky departed into wierd. However, we had a one night stay, the bed was comfortable, the water hot and the stay pleasent.

Liked: Everything it was a great place to stay.
Disliked: Nothing

Beach Cottage Stay

Liked: The Beach Cottage was perfect for our 3 night get-away. I recommend getting the lovers package, it was wonderful to have snacks waiting after a long drive in. The accommodations and daily breakfasts were excellent as was our gracious host.

Exceptional

If I am ever in...

Liked: The owner, Charles, is friendly and helpful. He is very respectful of a person's privacy. Breakfast was delicious. Everything is made from scratch. Tea and coffee are available at any hour. I stayed in the house rather than one of the cottages. It contains a lot of history and is beautifully decorated. It is also situated several miles from the downtown square and Truman Presidential Library.
Disliked: The house is close to the street and people race at night. The inn very thoughtfully provided early plugs which I found helpful.

Exceptional

Great place to getaway and...

Liked: The staff made my stay exceptional. The property offers a great deal of history, charm and warmth. It is wellmaintained, clean and feels like a wonderful way to step back in time. The meals prepared by Frankie were delicious! Charles is welcoming and will make you feel right at home!
Disliked: It could be a bit noisy at night with the train passing through

Liked: Comfortable bedsGood location
Disliked: Too much clutter, so little storage space.No choice of breakfast menu….first morning we were presented with a soggy bread/onion/egg ‘frittata’…!!
