Liked: Location is great, view on the lake is beautiful. Decent size of the room and comfortable beds
Disliked: Sink drain was clogged. The building is aged and smells so. No electric kettle and microwave.

Good for our 1 nite...

Liked: Large room with two comfy chairs and table. Water view but AC blowers on porch precluded sitting there. Good parking. Coffee and frig in room. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Only hotel that still has carpet on our three week trip in Canada

Great place to stay

Liked: Our stay here was exceptional, we entered our room and just went WOW! The view was phenomenal. The facilities were perfect.The outdoor, heated swimming pool was a lovely added extra to.Short drive to Baddeck. Baddeck, beautiful prom with comfy steamer chairs for anyone to sit relax and look over the water to the island opposite. I believe there is a small passenger ferry you can take across to the island for a lifeguards beach and a couple of hiking trails and a lighthouse. There was also a boat cruise off the pier and there was Alexander Graham Bell museum which was very interesting. Plus the most amazing ice cream shop on the high street. 10/10 visit

The room was worn and...

Liked: We liked how close it was to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum.
Disliked: The chalet room was very worn: rusty floor register in the bathroom, cracked toilet tank that didn’t leak, chipped paint on the bathroom door, warped and peeling wallpaper throughout. The room had hair(not ours) in the bathroom and on the bedroom floor. Although we knew it was a room where pets are allowed, it smelled like dog. There must be some way to eliminate odors between guests. The safety street lights shined through our entry door blind lighting up our whole room. I had to hang my polartec jacket over the blind to block the light. I would suggest a black-out blind on the door window.

Disliked: we couldn't do any fires as we didn't have any fire pits and the Cottages were too close to each other.
