Silver Cloud Hotel Tacoma at Point Ruston Waterfront

Beautiful hotel with excellent views.

Liked: The hotel was very nice. Our view was amazing from our room. We loved being able to walk to many different restaurants right by the hotel. The room was always kept extremely clean and the housekeeping girls were always super friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a couple of superstars working their. We were fortunate one of the managers helped us one morning and he noticed us the next day in the hotel and made a point of talking to us.
Disliked: We were disappointed when the valet didn't even help us get our bags out of the car. We even had to go get a cart for our suitcases. The towels were like sandpaper. The restaurant was ok. One morning we were treated very rudely because we didn't have reservations, even though there were multiple available tables. After pointing out the multiple available tables we were given one of those. Still not sure what the deal was with reservations. Very disappointing that a hotel of this caliber doesn't offer room service.

Liked: Its was all fantastic. Room was very spacious, I had the biggest TV I have ever seen at a hotel (75 inch). Car parking vallet service was good. TV channel options were great. The location is fantastic. Excellent restaurant options.
Disliked: You could keep couple of water bottles in the room anyway. There is a nice water dispenser in every floor, thats good, but still.

Perfect stay

Liked: I travel extensively world wide and this is the best hotel I have stayed in. It is hard to describe but everything was really perfect. The people were wonderful, professional and welcoming. The bed was so comfortable with great sheets. The room was fairly large with a view of the water and a lounger to sit in to admire the view. It was quiet in the room. The breakfasts were excellent. The desk was great- lots of space. The WIFI was very good and the TV had a lot of stations. The location is great within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. As I said perfect.
Disliked: Having to leave

Disliked: Parking. I hate when hotels charge guests parking or only have valet.

Driving from Olympia National Park...

Liked: I was leaving for the Seattle airport the next day and it was only about 1/2 hour from there. Lovely all you could want hotel. It is in an area that has many apartments newly built. Right on the water, great views, lots of shops and restaurants within walk distance . High end place lots of extras, view, bar, restaurant. Room was beautiful and comfortable. Wish I had time to lounge and take advantage of the hotel more.
Disliked: Can’t think of a thing.
