Wonderful short-term stay

Liked: This property is very centrally located, two blocks away from the main street area. Despite its proximity, it was very quiet. The manager, Louie, was incredibly welcoming and personable. It was so fun chatting with him and he told us that there are plans to put a speakeasy in the building. The rooms were in very good condition. This is one of a few places in Big Bear that has air conditioning, which was very important during the recent heat wave. We will definitely be back.
Disliked: My only complaint, and this is not the hotel‘s fault, is that whoever was in the room above us was a heavy walker and they were unfortunately up in the middle of the night and also very early in the morning. I’m a light sleeper so this was an issue for me. Might not be an issue for others. If you can, try to get a room on the third floor!
