I highly recommend Shoreline Cottages!

Liked: This place was perfect for our needs, as a family of three. We were very comfortable in the king-sized bed and Dev and housekeeping were so helpful in getting us some extra sheets and blankets so our son could sleep on the very comfortable pullout couch. It was so handy to have the little kitchen: we heated up pizza from the night before in the toaster oven! We had a great soak in the hot tub.
Disliked: The location was very convenient for getting into Mendocino and surrounding beaches, while paying about half what you would at a place in Mendocino itself. Here’s a story about the truly amazing service at Shoreline Cottages: I managed to leave several valuable items of clothing in the dresser and didn’t realize until I’d driven back to the Bay Area. Well, I reached out to Dev about the problem, who then coordinated with Maria to have the items shipped to me! Such nice people!

It was lovely for what...

Liked: The decor was fresh and updated. It was easy access to things to do.
Disliked: The smell upon entering was overwhelming. We had to open all the windows and door to get the smell out. Whatever product is added to make it smell “nice” is awful and overused. We couldn’t stay inside when we arrived.The fireplace didn’t work, even after following the written instructions.Walls were thin and floor movement sounds from other cabins were apparent in our cabin (like shared floor boards?).

Liked: Nicely appointed decorations, very comfortable bed, great sheets and towels. Shampoos and lotions were top-notch.

Passable

Liked: The location was great. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: The room had a moldy smell when you walked in. The outlets in the bathroom and next to one side of the bed didn’t work. There is no counter space in the bathroom all.

Liked: The room was small, but beautifully modernized with a great, high bed, a gas fireplace, a Jacuzzi style tub and parking directly at the door.
Disliked: Check in procedure wasn't entirely clear.
