Good location, good facilities, comfortable...
Liked: Great location, close to the beach, restaurants, stores. Nice basic but very clean room.
Disliked: There was a bit of confusion as they didn’t seem to have record of my booking from booking.com but luckily they had rooms available so it wasn’t an issue. They let us into the room early at no charge which was nice.

Clean, very old hotel but...
Liked: The owners and staff were some of the nicest I’ve encountered. Family owned and they live on site. The location is perfect and it was the best value in the area for the huge music fest we were attending 5 miles away in Ft Lauderdale Beach.
Disliked: This isn’t criticism, rather just an honest assessment. The rooms are very old. There is still carpet on the floors which I would guess date back to the 90’s. Kitchen is well enough equipped, and beds are comfortable despite being old. The television in the room probably dates to the early 2000’s. Still, wasn’t there to watch tv so no problem. WiFi was problematic and spotty and since I had to work some I had to use my own hotspot. As far as the grounds, very clean and attended to, but quite a bit of smoking as the owners do place ashtrays all over the grounds including pool and hot tub. Speaking of the pool, if you go in the summer probably not an issue, but the heated pool is in name only. It was far too cold for us and when I compared to the unheated pool the temp was the same. Hot tub was nice but was in a bad location. Walked around two building once only to find it full. No big deal. The rooms also only have a single wall/window AC. Cooled things fine in April. Dunno about August lol. Lots of light coming in around the old door so my guess is might be toasty in the summer. First time on the east coast of Florida, and while the town is lovely and fun, the people aren’t. Heard and saw more car horns and angry drivers in a week than I’ve ever experienced in St Pete/Tampa/Ft Myers where we usually go. Local told me it was all the New Englanders. Dunno but generally speaking people weren’t very friendly. To sum up, the West coast of Florida is much nicer and barring another Tortuga Fest trip Ft Lauderdale us a one-off. However given the price relative to everything else, we would stay here again. Hope this helps!

You can't go wrong with...
Liked: The owner and staff were very friendly and hospitable. Clean pool and hot tub areas every day of our stay. Plenty of chairs and tables around the pool with grills and utensils for bbq. Convenience items were available in the office daily. Fresh towels were offered and paper products were replaced as needed. The landscaping provided a private and tropical feel. Best value in the area.

Great location to the beach...
Liked: Great location for everything. Beach and restaurants within walking distance. We didn't use our car for the entire stay. The room was super clean and very roomy. Had all the essentials for a beach stay. The pools and grounds were super clean. The owners take pride in their buildings and you can clearly see it. Comfortable beds and great shower!
