Sheraton Westport Chalet Hotel St. Louis

The chalet is fine for a one night stay but if I needed a room with a fridge and microwave, it wouldn't do.

Liked: The staff was very friendly and polite.
Disliked: The toilet handle was broken and we had to remove the tank lid every time we needed to flush the toilet, then push and hold the flapper down so the tank would fill up.

Very poor

Liked: The guy at the frontbdesk was nice and accommodating.
Disliked: Loud, too many kids. Snell of Marijuana outside the hotel.

Sufficient lodging, but there are...

Liked: Centrally located, and easy to book.
Disliked: The room was not clean. We requested a balcony, and it does not appear that any effort was made to meet that request. The staff was not friendly and appeared like they hated their lives. The facility was dated and not well-kept.

Liked: The lobby area was nice
Disliked: The rooms are needing updated! Popcorn ceilings, bubbling wall paper, very low ceiling, not very clean, and smelled like old cigarettes.

Comfy bed!

Liked: The bed was very comfy and pillows were good. I checked in a bit early so took a double bed room instead of a king. The location is nice with the bars and eateries next door. The mall IS NOT a typical mall but I did go to a comedy show.
Disliked: The hotel was full of kids there for a soccer tournament. Saturday afternoon got rained out so they were running all over the hotel. Luckily I travel with earplugs. When I tried to have dinner, the restaurant was dark and a wedding reception was starting in the bar and all over. I ordered a soup at the bar and took it back to my room. I got the first airport shuttle in the morning and didn’t stay for breakfast.

Good location but too much...

Liked: The room is very spacious, and the bed is comfortable. The location worked well for me since my office is close to the hotel. You can find many restaurants and bars closed to the hotel.
Disliked: Besides the fact that the rooms are quite good, the biggest issue was the noise coming from the air conditioning. To be honest, it was terrible. I could not sleep well.
