Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria

Good location and very clean.

Liked: Walkable location, close to shops and restaurants. Very clean rooms.
Disliked: The amenities on Booking.com say it has a microwave in room and a kitchenette. Kitchenette was a mini fridge, coffee maker and sink. We were able to use a microwave in the lobby breakfast room. Also, the coffee maker didn’t work our first morning so we went downstairs to get coffee. No free coffee, but they gave us some anyway since the coffee maker wasn’t working. Bizarrely, even though we did not request maintenance on the coffee maker, a man knocked once, didn’t wait for our response and just walked into our room, waking up the children. Not OK to have staff barge into rooms without permission, and especially at 7:30 am. The front desk accepted responsibility but it did not feel good to have had that happen.

Disliked: I usually have closure on the bedroom from sitting area but there was none usually a tv in both rooms but only 1 on a swivel

Liked: A/C Not working and the staff were not helpful I will never recommend Sheraton Breakfast very bad and expensive for the price

Worst hotel experience

Liked: Picked this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We booked a room with a balcony, but didn’t get the room with a balcony. The air conditioning unit was broken and it was 80 degrees…having the balcony could have helped some. We did receive a fan but it was very stuffy and uncomfortable. We will NEVER stay in another Sheraton EVER!
