Sheraton Memphis Downtown Hotel

Nice hotel, but housekeeping started knocking at the door at 10 a.m. and then every 30 minutes til we left. Checkout was before noon. Very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk.

Liked: Convenient.
Disliked: Crowded.

Liked: Good sized rooms, staff friendly.
Disliked: It was tired , old fashioned, curtains, drapes room furnishings all tired and worn. There was no swimming pool as advertised, no club lounge for snacks etc as advertised and the trolley car that supposed to run outside the door is out of service. Even having breakfast in the lobby restaurant we sat beside a window with black blinds that hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. Very dissatisfied as many facilities promoted on booking.com were not there at all,

Liked: The beds were comfortable.
Disliked: I booked my reservation through booking.com and had made sure to include the breakfast option for more $$. I had compared the rates to their website and found the rates to be the same so I booked though my preferred choice. The hotel front desk and then manager as well security guard they called on me (he was over 6'. I'm 5'1 and about110#s) said that it was invalid because I booked through a third party. And preceded to defend it even after I showed them my booking on my phone. I would have left the hotel but I would have ended up losing out on about $500 for the two rooms I booked for the second night there. This was a horrible experience and I do NOT recommend this hotel! The staff and manager on duty were rude. The rooms were dated and showed obvious signs of damage like they had been drug through the mud in the pastor and left out to dry.Final note, the corner rooms aren't all they sum them up to be. Mine had a view of a concrete wall.

Disliked: Check in was supposed to be at 4pm, I purposely arrived late at 7pm and was told that my room wasn’t ready yet.
