Why Concert-goers love it

You’re just a 5- to 6-minute walk from major music landmarks, including the Ryman, Bridgestone Arena, and the Johnny Cash Museum—meaning you can skip the rideshare drama. The hotel’s central location makes it easy to head out late and stroll back safely. Rooms are quiet and comfortable, offering a relaxing escape after a high-energy night. While check-in starts at 3:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM, the 24-hour front desk helps with early arrivals or storing your gear if you're in town for a quick show.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking to pre-game at the rooftop bar
  • Solo travelers checking off a bucket-list concert
  • Couples enjoying a romantic music-filled weekend
  • Fans who want a calmer, upscale space to unwind after shows
  • Budget-conscious music lovers wanting a walkable location without the chaos

Food and Drink Options

You’ll find solid post-show food and drink options on-site. The Library Bar dishes out American Southern-inspired fare, perfect for a late dinner. Head up to Skye Lounge, the rooftop bar, for skyline views and local cocktails. There’s also room service and a variety of walkable restaurants and dives nearby. Breakfast is available for those who sleep in after a big night.

Nightlife Options

You’re steps from Broadway’s legendary honky-tonks and live music venues. But if you’d rather stay in, the rooftop bar offers a more laid-back scene with great views and drinks. No need to go far to keep the party going or wind down in style.

What People Say

Guests rave about the location, calling it “perfect for concerts” and “walking distance to everything.” The rooftop bar and city views get high marks, and many appreciate the clean, stylish rooms and friendly service. The vibe is upscale but welcoming—ideal for music fans who want comfort without losing Nashville flavor.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the elevators can be slow during peak times, especially after concerts. A few noted the parking fees were a bit steep, so rideshares or walking are smart alternatives. Still, these are minor trade-offs for the unbeatable location.

The Bottom Line

If you're coming to Nashville for the music, Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown offers the perfect combo of comfort, convenience, and cool vibes just steps from the city’s top venues.

Pleasant - 3.0 out of 5

Cate B, Chicago

Liked: Location.
Disliked: Yes the room smelled. My husband thought it might have been mold from the bathroom. We noticed it didn't have a fan in bathroom. Also noticed that there was mold in the shower grout. I actually thought the smell was the left over smell from diapers. The bed was awesome.

Ridiculous amount of hidden charges. Called the front desk for over an hour and no one would ever answer. The room itself was what I would expect to pay about a quarter of the actual cost for. Fairly clean but way outdated cosmetic features. I will never stay here again. First hotel I have ever stayed in where there was not any kind of free breakfast offered. The only positive thing about this place is the convenient location to downtown.

Liked: Location is the only positive thing I have to say about this hotel.
Disliked: Tons of hidden charges. Called the front desk for over an hour with no answer.

Liked: Location & restaurant
Disliked: Loud. And not just because of the location.. the EVS closet was right beside our room and the door SLAMS shut. Our room had no windows, barely enough towels, and it’s the most expensive hotel I have stayed at in Nashville. Not worth it. Won’t be back

Great location, so many other...

Liked: I stayed here 10yrs previous and loved it so much I always wanted to return, the architecture of this hotel is amazing, rooms are great with views over the city, staff are amazing too.
Disliked: Far too busy with ‘college age’ kids running about in and out the building and on the landings of the rooms really noisy and was woken up twice in my 2 night stay which resulted in complaints to reception. Breakfast not included when paying $500 for 2 night stay. I guess my expectations were based on my previous visit and experience and was never met.

Great location but pricey and...

Liked: The room was good but as expected for the price. The food in the Library was very good, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The staff in the Library were also very helpful.
Disliked: The staff on reception were not helpful. When I explained that my accommodation nightly fee was already paid to Booking I received no assistance until I could clearly show them this. The reaction was not polite but rather that I was a nuisance. I left my Kindle/E Reader in room 605 and rang from the airport as I had wished to return before my flight to retrieve it and was told by staff that an email would have to go to housekeeping and the room could not be checked for me quickly. I have struggled to find an email address but finally found one and am hoping that I receive a positive reply regarding return of my Kindle. The reception staff really let down the overall experience.

Disappointing

Disliked: We had vouchers for free drinks and could not get anyone in the bar area to help us. There were two tables of people and they acted like they were too busy to even acknowledge us. Very disappointing and very rude.

Don't stay not worth the...

Liked: Not much of anything
Disliked: For over 500 a night, not even free coffee in the am, had to pay for breakfast not near a 0.5 miles to the stadium. 82.00 to park. Never again.

Superb

Liked: Conveniently located. Strongly suggest using valet parking because of multiple street construction/ detours in progress.
Disliked: No smoking rooms. There are cigars bars around, but no smoking rooms available? All hotels will place deposit for incidentals, fine, here’s some more money ($100) on top of the $700 already paid for 1 night stay=$800 for a hotel room for 20 hour stay- damn right- I’ll smoke my cigarettes, cigars, pipe, marijuana, vape pen, whatever responsibly. Is that room now ruined? No. Will it take a total renovation to have that room smoke- free? No. That room has never had a smoking product used in it before? No. Should I be smoking? None of your business, my choice. Close down the high dollar cigar bars and arrest people for smoking on a city sidewalk first. Outlaw any and every smoking/ vape product sold nationwide first, then I might choose to stop tobacco use and not smoke in a hotel room.
