Modern and polished with a Southern twist, the Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown puts you in the heart of the action. Just a few blocks from iconic venues like the Ryman Auditorium and Bridgestone Arena, this upscale hotel offers sleek rooms with city views, a rooftop bar, and a cozy library lounge—all wrapped in Nashville charm.

Why Concert-goers love it

You’re just a 5- to 6-minute walk from major music landmarks, including the Ryman, Bridgestone Arena, and the Johnny Cash Museum—meaning you can skip the rideshare drama. The hotel’s central location makes it easy to head out late and stroll back safely. Rooms are quiet and comfortable, offering a relaxing escape after a high-energy night. While check-in starts at 3:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM, the 24-hour front desk helps with early arrivals or storing your gear if you're in town for a quick show.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking to pre-game at the rooftop bar
  • Solo travelers checking off a bucket-list concert
  • Couples enjoying a romantic music-filled weekend
  • Fans who want a calmer, upscale space to unwind after shows
  • Budget-conscious music lovers wanting a walkable location without the chaos

Food and Drink Options

You’ll find solid post-show food and drink options on-site. The Library Bar dishes out American Southern-inspired fare, perfect for a late dinner. Head up to Skye Lounge, the rooftop bar, for skyline views and local cocktails. There’s also room service and a variety of walkable restaurants and dives nearby. Breakfast is available for those who sleep in after a big night.

Nightlife Options

You’re steps from Broadway’s legendary honky-tonks and live music venues. But if you’d rather stay in, the rooftop bar offers a more laid-back scene with great views and drinks. No need to go far to keep the party going or wind down in style.

What People Say

Guests rave about the location, calling it “perfect for concerts” and “walking distance to everything.” The rooftop bar and city views get high marks, and many appreciate the clean, stylish rooms and friendly service. The vibe is upscale but welcoming—ideal for music fans who want comfort without losing Nashville flavor.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the elevators can be slow during peak times, especially after concerts. A few noted the parking fees were a bit steep, so rideshares or walking are smart alternatives. Still, these are minor trade-offs for the unbeatable location.

The Bottom Line

If you're coming to Nashville for the music, Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown offers the perfect combo of comfort, convenience, and cool vibes just steps from the city’s top venues.

Pleasant - 3.0 out of 5

Cate B, Chicago

Liked: Location.
Disliked: Yes the room smelled. My husband thought it might have been mold from the bathroom. We noticed it didn't have a fan in bathroom. Also noticed that there was mold in the shower grout. I actually thought the smell was the left over smell from diapers. The bed was awesome.

Ridiculous amount of hidden charges. Called the front desk for over an hour and no one would ever answer. The room itself was what I would expect to pay about a quarter of the actual cost for. Fairly clean but way outdated cosmetic features. I will never stay here again. First hotel I have ever stayed in where there was not any kind of free breakfast offered. The only positive thing about this place is the convenient location to downtown.

Liked: Location is the only positive thing I have to say about this hotel.
Disliked: Tons of hidden charges. Called the front desk for over an hour with no answer.

Exceptional

Liked: We booked online and when we got to the hotel we asked for the highest room possible with the best view. It was the 4th of july so our expectations were low. Yet, they made it happen and put us on the 21st floor with a beautiful view. The staff was so friendly, the room was clean. The shower was clean and the room smelled so good! The option for body wash and shampoo and conditioner smelled so good and felt like it was high quality. They gave us a credit to the restaurant for that night. Even though we didnt use it the menue options were so good! Check out was so easy and quick.
Disliked: We still spent $60 to park in the garage that was at our hotel. Would have been cool if that was included in our stay price but all in all it was fine. Maybe a discount would have been cool too since we did stay. Over all it was fine knowing our vehicle was safe and not an issue we had to worry about.

Ok but not the best

Liked: Breakfast was amazing- make sure you get a meal plan when booking.
Disliked: Parking is not great. If your vehicle is low to ground you won’t make it into the park garage. The ramps are very steep and the corners are tight! Beds were awful

Good

Liked: The elevators were pretty amazing, the guys outside directing traffic were spot on and very helpful.
Disliked: The dining options weren't the best. They had a private event, one of the nights. And we had no options for dinner or bar figure. They might have been able to tell us about that but there was no communication.

Fair - 2.5 out of 5

Cynthia Mon, 9 June 2025

It was just ok. Won’t...

Liked: Location & restaurant
Disliked: Loud. And not just because of the location.. the EVS closet was right beside our room and the door SLAMS shut. Our room had no windows, barely enough towels, and it’s the most expensive hotel I have stayed at in Nashville. Not worth it. Won’t be back
