well managed hotel great reception...

Liked: Everything was good and attended to very quickly a few errors. All staff attentive and polite. The room was exceptionally good and clean near the lift. The breakfast delightful and well served.
Disliked: When cleaning for a change over, I didn't check the soap dispenser, remedied immediately. one day the room wasn't attended to until 4.30pm. A bit of a shock, but again immediate attention once informed.

Most overrated hotel in Edinburgh

Liked: This is the most over priced, overrated hotel in Edinburgh. There are hotels just as nice with the same facilities for half the price.
Disliked: I stayed overnight whilst attending a function. I like the idea of the open swim pool on the roof. The hotel did not say on booking that it was an extra £35pp to use the outdoor pool and a time slot had to be booked in advance. The hotel also took a £50 deposit on arrival and despite not using any service and paying the room up front it took 3 days to get the money back in my account. I paid £360 for one night. There was no fridge in the room. There were cans of drinking water yet it was warm. I tried to call reception on several occasions and never got a reply. For paying too prices the service and standards were very poor.

Disliked: Location was convenient but ugly. Broken payments in the square , ugly building exterior, bed room was comfortable but terribly small and pokey for the price paid, view was awful for so called deluxe room and price paid

Liked: Nice big bed.
Disliked: The bathroom was dirty and the provided toiletries were open and used. The towels were tiny! Hated the new set up for breakfast. And there was sick in the car park.
