Robert, Leawood, visiting Shaw's Crab House Chicago
We came up for a family gathering. While we were the only ones at The Sheraton, we were very pleased with our accommodation and amenities.
Liked: Check in was quick, easy and very friendly staff. The room was very clean and nice. The hotel location was excellent for walking.
Disliked: Nothing.

Renee is the worst staff

Disliked: The staff was pathetic. Renee (I hope I got the name right) was arrogant and demeaning. Treated us badly.The checkin was delayed from 4pm to 8pm.Apparently there is a “queue” and if you booked from a third party like Booking.com they don’t allocate a room until you arrive at the hotel and pay. So to get in the queue we had swipe the card first or the booking was not even considered.Renee made it very clear that the preference was not given to booking via Booking.com and you have to be elite Marriot member to get a confirmed room.He was rude and technically told us to go find a different hotel if you don’t like. Never promised us a time to check in, told us it might be midnight too. And said this incident might absolutely happen again.Imagine flying a long flight, driving an hour to reach the hotel and then bring treated badly and told that the room is not promised and the checkin can be at midnight.The worst staff ever. Delays are understood but bad behavior is not. Simple.
