Nice hotel not so great...
Liked: Hotel looks new and clean. Hotel is quiet.Very comfortable beds and 4 pillows to choose different firmness from.
Disliked: I am not sure whether there are understaffed. I only stayed two nights. The second night I came back from touring college schools around 6:00pm just to find that my room was not serviced. No “do not disturb” sign on the door. When I called the front desk I was told that someone would come to service the room. 30 minutes went by and nobody had showed up. My son went to the front desk to ask again got someone to clean our room and make the beds. A lady showed up telling me that she had brought me fresh towels but that the cleaning crew had left for the day…..On another note the staff was friendly but I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come back to the front desk and ask them for a new key since I had forgotten it in the room.

Wonderful stay, clean room and...
Liked: Clean, centrally located to UNC Chapel Hill, nice staff and facilities. Parking was free and secure. Would definitely stay there again.
Disliked: No daily room cleaning, you must request additional towels or toiletries.

Overall, my stay was nice...
Liked: Overall, my stay at the Sheraton in Chapel Hill, NC was a nice experience. The location was convenient, as it was close to plenty of stores. This hotel was very well kept in cleanliness, and designed in a way that was modern and cozy. I appreciated the amenities it offered, such as an on-site restaurant, gym, and pool. Moreover, I also thought it was a great idea, that the entire facility (excluding the front entrance and common used areas) required a key card to enter; this feature gave a sense of security and safety. In addition, the Sheraton was very quiet and peaceful.
Disliked: Upon checking into the facility, I was greeted by a male secretary staff member with a nonchalant demeanor. This gave me the impression the staff would be poor, but I was hopeful for the best. I was aware I would need a photo I.D and credit/debit card. However, I was not aware that there’d be a $50.00 insurance deposit upon check-in. Luckily for me I was prepared for the unexpected, but a disclosure would have been appreciated. Moreover, when booking my reservation, I reserved a room with 2 queen- sized beds and a mobility assessable bathroom. As my mother (who would be accompanying me on this stay) is disabled and requires such accommodations. The secretary was sure to double check with me about the room I had reserved , and assured me that I would receive the correct room.. Unfortunately, I received a room with 2 full-sized beds and a non-mobility assessable bathroom. This bathroom was extremely small and the tub made it very difficult for my mother to get in and out to shower. Furthermore, as my guest and I prepared to check-out of the hotel, I began to tidy up the room, to make clean-up a bit easier on the housekeeping staff. I removed bedding and organized it into piles, separating sheets from blankets and towels. I also removed any trash and began to wipe down surfaces. While I was tidying up the room, my mother left to throw away any trash gathered from the room. She came back and informed me that a male housekeeping staff member, had gotten hostile with her about putting a bag of trash into a garbage bin that was half full. In addition I would like to note the garbage bin was fairly close to the room we stayed in which was convenient for my mother, as she is disabled, walks with a cane, and has a boot of her foot. As a result, of this interaction my mother felt disrespected and overlooked. In my honest opinion, the hotel staff hostility could improve as this is the only reason I am not giving a 10 star review.

Liked: Staff tried to be helpful.
Disliked: The room had major electrical problems. The TV and the lamp over the table did not work. The coffee maker had to be moved to the bathroom to be used. There were no bath towels. The floor in the bathroom drained water into the room and not the drain.

Disliked: There wasn't an exhaust fan in the bathroom ~No liners in trash cans ~Sliding door almost impossible to open ~Creepy to see my name displayed on TV ~Housekeeping knocking on door, then entering way before check out time to tell me check out time was noon !!!!
