The Spotlight on Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel

Downtown Comfort Steps from Toronto's Best Stages

Modern, upscale, and right in the heart of the city, the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel offers a polished stay for music lovers. Located across from Nathan Phillips Square and just a short stroll to major venues like the Rogers Centre and Scotiabank Arena, this 4-star hotel blends convenience with comfort. Expect spacious rooms, marble bathrooms, and standout amenities like a year-round indoor/outdoor heated pool and a stylish 43rd-floor Club Lounge.

Why Concert-goers love it

You’ll love the central downtown location—within walking distance of major arenas and live music spots. The hotel’s connection to the PATH underground network means you can navigate the city late into the night without braving the weather. After the show, the calm, well-insulated rooms offer a quiet oasis to wind down. Flexible amenities and a helpful concierge team make catching a late concert or early check-out a breeze.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends who want a stylish base near the action
  • Solo travelers on a bucket-list concert trip
  • Couples planning a downtown weekend escape
  • Fans seeking a peaceful retreat after a loud night out
  • Budget-conscious music lovers looking for value in a 4-star setting

Food and Drink Options

The Sheraton features two on-site dining venues: Dual Citizen for quick bites and coffee, and 43 Down for craft cocktails and upscale small plates. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the central location means dozens of late-night eateries are a short walk or PATH stroll away. Breakfast is available and perfect for a post-concert lie-in recovery.

Nightlife Options

Being downtown means you’re surrounded by bars, lounges, and live music venues. Whether you want to keep the night going or grab one last drink, you’ll find plenty of nearby options. The hotel’s own bar, 43 Down, is a great place to start or end your evening with a curated cocktail.

What People Say

Reviews praise the location as unbeatable for exploring Toronto on foot. Guests love the spacious rooms, comfy beds, and consistently warm service. The heated pool and scenic waterfall garden offer a unique city-center escape. Many visitors also mention how quiet the rooms are, despite the hotel’s buzzing central location.

Areas for Improvement

While the Sheraton’s amenities are top-tier, some guests mention that certain common areas can feel a bit crowded during peak event weekends. Also, because it’s a large hotel, check-in lines may be longer during high-traffic times—but the friendly front desk staff help keep things moving.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers wanting a polished, convenient stay right in the heart of Toronto’s entertainment district, the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel hits all the right notes.

Debbie P, Guelph, visiting The Great Hall Toronto Sun, 14 April 2024

It was a pleasant experience. The atmosphere was upbeat, staff personnel were outstanding. We used valet parking and I highly recommend this feature. You are greeted like family and everyone makes sure you are taken care of. The restaurant food was exceptional, overall nothing was disappointing.

Liked: Everything, was not disappointed at all.
Disliked: Nothing.

Very comfortable stay in a...

Liked: The concierge who checked us in was Marc. Marc was helpful and knowledgeable and very kind. The pool was lovely, the underground access was lovely. The person who delivered our room service and the woman who cleaned our room were all lovely. The hotel is pretty, and is peaceful, with rooms that are quiet.
Disliked: A couple things, but nothing too serious…. The elevators worked inconsistently for us. At one point our card demagnetized… the staff was great about fixing this, but I’d have been more careful if it had been mentioned. I called to ask where I could do laundry. The laundry service in the hotel is expensive to the point where they’re basically saying they don’t want to do it, I nearly chortled when I saw the expense. The concierge was unhelpful with my question… told me to google it. I was unsuccessful in finding a laundromat, I imagine they’re called something different in Canada, but the person at the desk seemed far too annoyed with me to divulge that information. My husband went to grab a luggage cart, and they told him he needed a bell hop for that… we were in a hurry, so we picked up all of our belongings and just carried them. A bag ripped in the lobby, it was a thing. They said we could pull the car around to load up, and informed us to let the valet know. We let the valet know and he tried to tell us to pull up next to the building instead. It was frustrating. We really just wanted to leave. We pulled inside anyway, loaded the car up inside of 40 seconds and left. There was no reason for them to make that more complicated. I wish communication were better between inside and outside staff. Why is the waterfall in a room. Half the joy of a water feature is the sound, and it was locked away inside glass walls. This was odd. I would have like the bridge to the Toronto sign to be open, but once we discovered the tunnel all was well… though you cannot re-enter the Sheraton. I would have liked a bathroom in the fan with a switch. Apart from these minor things, I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it to anyone. The staff overall was very kind. Most of the front desk people were very helpful… I wish I could remember the name of the young lady that helped me scoop up my belongings from the floor, she also checked us out. She was very kind.
